I Get An Error When I Try Registering:
If for some reason you find yourself unable to register try some of the following:
Make sure you have cookies enabled, if you don't then do the following:
Click on tools on the menu bar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the privacy tab Put the arrow and track so that the arrow is on low Click OK
Enable 3rd Party Cookies. if unsure how, read below:
Click on tools on the menu bar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the security tab Click on the custom button On the little window that pops up, scroll down to where it says cookies, and make sure the radio button is in the enabled position Click save
Delete/Clear Your Cookies and/or Internet History and Try Again (you might have to restart your computer for it to work)

I Don't Get Notification/Registration E-mails!
If you've just registered to the forum, you will need to activate your account in order to be allowed to post. This is required in order to make sure that you're using a valid e-mail address, as occasionally mass e-mails will be sent out.
If you haven't received your activation key yet, you must know that some e-mail providers are treating it as spam, so you should look into your Junk or Spam folder for an e-mail from this forum. If it's not there either, try resending the activation key, and if it still doesn't come, chances are your provider is completely blocking e-mails from Proboards. This is a known problem with Hotmail and AOL.
I recommend you to use a Yahoo or Gmail address, or from another provider which hasn't had problems with Proboards.
Also I'd recommend adding this email addresses to your address book (or contacts, allowed list, whatever it's called) as with it you are far more likely to actually receive the activation email.

Problems Logging In
I login fine, but when I click a link it logs me out!
Your browser is not accepting cookies properly. First check to make sure you have cookies enabled. Also, in Internet Explorer 6 you need to make sure that you have 3rd Party Cookies enabled.
Your members need to enable cookies, tell them to do the following:
Click on tools on the menu bar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the privacy tab Put the arrow and track so that the arrow is on low Click OK
This will enable third party cookies:
Click on tools on the menu bar on your browser Click on Internet Options on the drop menu On the window that pops up, click on the security tab Click on the custom button On the little window that pops up, scroll down to where it says cookies, and make sure the radio button is in the enabled position Click save
In Fire Fox:
tools >> options >> privacy >>
look for the 'cookies' section. Make sure it has 'accept all' ticked, and then click on 'exceptions' and make sure your ProBoards url isn't in there.
